Terms of Service

This document is a plain-language template covering how EKO and the barbershops using it handle your information. It is pending full legal review and may be updated.

What we collect

When you book an appointment we collect your name, your phone number and/or email address, the services you booked, appointment times, any notes you choose to add, and payment status. Shops may also store visit history and preferences to serve you better. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored by EKO.

How we use text messages and email

If you provide a mobile number, the shop you booked with may send you appointment confirmations, reminders, changes, and occasional offers by SMS. Message frequency varies with your bookings. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Email is used for the same purposes and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your phone number or email address, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who can see your information

Your booking data belongs to the shop you booked with, and is visible only to that shop's staff. EKO stores it on their behalf and uses service providers for messaging (Twilio), email (Resend), payments (Stripe), and hosting. EKO staff access shop data only when needed for support, and such access is logged.

Booking, cancellations and payment

Appointments, deposits, cancellation windows, and refunds are set by each individual shop and shown to you at the time of booking. EKO provides the software; the service itself is provided by the shop. Please arrive on time and cancel through your booking link if your plans change.

Your choices

You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, cancel or reschedule from your booking link, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential appointment confirmations unless you ask the shop to stop texting entirely.
